There are many methods to choose from that can eliminate stretch marks. Some of the methods may be more effective but at the same time are riskier than those that might not bring about more favorable results. Read on to find out about the different ways to eliminate stretch marks.

Home Remedies

You can create your very own remedy for stretch marks with a variety of ingredients. You can make creams and exfoliating scrubs by mixing ingredients that are believed to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

Doctor Prescribed Creams

Doctors are able to prescribe creams for pregnant women to reduce and remove stretch marks. These creams are more effective on fresh marks but do little for older scars.

Over the Counter Natural Creams

These natural creams are easily available to anyone who wants to eliminate stretch marks. These e creams commonly consist of concentrated natural ingredients to reduce and remove stretch marks.

Surgical Procedure

There are two kinds of surgical procedures that can get rid of stretch marks: a Tummy Tuck and Laser Treatment.

A Tummy Tuck procedure involves the removal of excess fat tissue and loose skin on the abdomen. In the process, stretch marks on the skin will be removed and the abdomen will become tighter. The taught skin will lessen the obvious marks that remain.

Laser Treatment involves the use of a controlled laser light to break down the scar tissues of the stretch marks. This will then prompt the production of new skin cells and collagen to fill out the scars.
There are many factors that can affect the success rate of a method to eliminate stretch marks. Some methods may work on other people while not be effective on you. Severe cases of stretch marks are also obviously harder to get rid of as compared to fresh marks. In whatever method you choose, you have to be realistic when expecting the outcome.
